JUST BREATHE

One easy free thing to include into your day to contribute to your health is taking time to connect to your breath. A miracle takes place when we breathe it creates a sense of calm. Diaphragmatic breathing positively affects everything like our hormones, muscle tension, digestion, gut health, circulatory and lymphatic systems, brain function, clarity of mind and reduces inflammation and stress.

Before jumping out of bed in the morning you could take a few minutes to give thanks for a new day and connect to your breath. You could even set an alarm as a reminder to sit and take some quiet time to breathe.

A great breathing method is the 4,7,8 method. Breathe in for 4 secs, hold for 7 secs and slow exhale for 8 secs. It’s helpful to place your hands on your ribs breath in till you feel them expand, hold, then slow exhale.
